The Topic Selection Workshop will help you find your dissertation topic, based on a gap in the literature
I created this Topic Selection Workshop because so many doctoral students come to me frustrated with writing their dissertation
Doctoral students often complain to me about their difficulty figuring out how to find a dissertation topic. Then once they finally find a topic, they also struggle with what to write for each of the dissertation chapters. Doctoral students are taking years to write their dissertation, when it should only take them about 12 months, according to Association of Graduate Schools and the Council of Graduate Schools. Plus, the guidance most doctoral students receive from their chair/committee members is ambiguous and unhelpful at best.
A perfect example is Linda, a doctoral student who I tutored in graduate statistics. Linda finished all of her PhD classes and her comps, but wasn’t clear about her dissertation topic. Her chair told her to conduct a detailed literature review and find a gap in the literature. I told her that strategy was ridiculous and it was like looking for needle in a haystack. I told her that if she followed my instructions, she could finish writing her entire dissertation in about 12 months.
Using my step-by-step process, Linde found her dissertation topic in the literature in three hours. It then took her one month each to write chapters 1, 2, and 3. It took 1 month to receive IRB approval. Data collection, data analysis and writing chapter 4 took 2 months. Chapter 5 took one month to complete and it took a month and half to get final university approval for the entire dissertation. Linda’s entire dissertation was completed in 8 months and 20 days. To date, Linda has completed her dissertation faster than any of our clients. On average, it takes our dissertation clients about 12 months to complete their doctoral dissertation.
Over the past 12 years, I’ve leveraged my skills in quantitative and qualitative research and my experience in both academic and corporate research settings to help 237 doctoral students obtain their doctoral degree. That’s an average of 19 students per year, using our step-by-step workshop training approach.
I personally invite you to join me and other doctoral students for my Topic Selection Workshop where you’ll find the right dissertation topic with my step-by-step guidance and support.
I will show you how to brainstorm over potential dissertation topics and begin narrowing down the topic options.
We will narrow your search down to 10-15 research topic titles and download articles related to those titles.
We will find the gaps in the literature related to your narrowly defined research topics.
We will use my proprietary topic selection score card to pick the best topic for your dissertation.
